Home Treatment:
DO NOT INDUCE EMESIS ( VOMITING ) UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY Poison Control OR BY A PHYSICIAN.

Before Calling Poison Control:
Determine the following information:

  • the patient's age, weight, and condition
  • the name of the product (ingredients and strengths if known)
  • the time it was swallowed
  • the amount swallowed
  • give small amounts of milk or water unless instructed otherwise
  • remove contaminated clothing
  • wash skin



Call Poison Control:
They will instruct you if it is necessary to take the patient to the hospital. See Poison Control centers for telephone numbers and addresses. Take the container with you to the emergency room.

Products containing pyrethrin, allethrin, and resmethrin are dangerous only when an allergic reaction occurs.

O-isopropoxyphenyl methylcarbamate will produce life-threatening symptoms if exposure is sufficient. Poisoning may follow ingestion or skin/eye exposure
